Connect with Intuitive Technology
Smartphone Link Display Audio (SDA)^ technology is a true extension of your smartphone via Android Auto™1 or Apple CarPlay2. Connected to your vehicle's display you can access your phone’s compatible Apps and get directions, make calls, send and receive messages and listen to music all while your eyes stay focused on the road ahead. Seamlessly integrated, SDA provides you with a safer and more engaging driving experience through Android Auto1 or Apple CarPlay2.
Siri² can be accessed by either using the voice recognition button on the steering wheel or holding the home screen button.
The home screen shows you relevant information like time to destination, reminders, the current song and new messages.
You can use Google¹ voice control or the touch screen to operate Android Auto¹ apps.
Ask questions, like “Do I need an umbrella in Melbourne today?” or “Did [my team] win yesterday?”, and answers will be spoken to you as you drive.
Several of our higher grade vehicles do include the TomTom navigation system within the SDA II unit.
Updating the inbuilt navigation system is a simple process. Use the following link to download the latest updates: https://mitsubishi.sda.navshop.com/downloads. Map updates are available for free for 5 years after your purchase+.
+The 5 year period starts when the vehicle has travelled 200km and finishes the last day of the previous month after 5 years.
You can adjust the volume using the Smartphone Link Display Audio setting menu. While you are listening to the voice guidance system, you can press volume button to adjust the volume.
Please use a genuine original USB cable for your smartphone.
If you connect two smartphones, the first one connected activates as Android Auto™1 (if it’s an Android™ phone) or CarPlay2 (if it’s an iPhone). If the second device is an iPhone, it activates as an iPod with battery charge. If the second device is an Android phone, it may activate the USB device or just the battery charge.
Smartphone Link Display Audio does not have a TV tuner, but has an HDML connector. You can watch TV if you have an AV device with TV function and an HDMI connector. However, you cannot watch TV while driving.

You can use the following functions:
Analog Radio, Digital Radio (specific region only), Satellite Radio (specific region only), Play music stored in a USB device, iPod, HDMI, AUX (specific region only), Bluetooth® Audio, Hands free phone.
Navigation may not continue to function outside of your coverage area. When the mobile signal is lost, map data is not downloaded. 3rd party applications such as Google Maps™ and Sygic can store map ‘files’ within the app for offline use.
We recommend you use the genuine original equipment bought with your phone. Not all USB cables will be compatible with Smartphone Link Display Audio.
Smartphone Link Display Audio does not keep the data from the smartphone. Therefore you cannot synchronize Smartphone Link Display Audio with smartphone.
As there is no CD drive in Smartphone Link Display Audio, you cannot play a CD. Instead, you can play music stored in your smartphone or stream music. You can also play music using an iPod, USB memory or Bluetooth® device.
